SimplyClick ("we", "us") is a push-to-talk voice app for friends and squads, on the web at simplyclick.app and on Android. This page explains, in plain English, what we collect, why, how long we keep it and what you can do about it. Short version: we only collect what the app needs to work, we never sell your data, and there are no ads or trackers.
SimplyClick is for people aged 13 and over. When you create an account we ask you to confirm you're 13+. If you tell us you're under 13, we don't create (or we delete) the account. If you think a child under 13 is using SimplyClick, email privacy@simplyclick.app and we'll delete the account.
We don't collect your location, contacts, photos or payment details, and we don't use analytics or advertising trackers.
We use your data only to run SimplyClick: sign-in, showing your friends and squads, delivering voice, streaks, reactions, notifications and quiet hours. That's needed to provide the service you asked for (contract). Safety features like blocking, reports, moderation and bot protection are in our and our users' legitimate interests in keeping SimplyClick safe. Push notifications are only used if you switch them on (consent), and you can switch them off at any time.
Only friends you've accepted, and squads you've joined, can reach you. You can mute, block or report anyone. We review reports and may warn, restrict or ban accounts that break the rules. To do that, we may look at the report and the account details involved.
We follow the spirit of the UK ICO's Age Appropriate Design Code (Children's Code): profiles are private by default, strangers can't contact you, there's no location sharing, no ads and no profiling, and the mic is never on unless you're holding the button. We collect as little as possible.
We don't sell or share your data. We use these service providers, which process it on our behalf:
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. When they do, they use approved safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. Everything is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).
In the app, tap your avatar (top right) and choose Delete account. This immediately removes your profile, username, private settings, notification tokens and sign-in account. Other people's friends lists may show a leftover reference to your ID until they refresh. You can also email us to ask for deletion, and we'll do it within 30 days.
Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct, delete or download your data, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent (for example by turning off notifications). Email privacy@simplyclick.app. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
If you have a question or worry about your teen's account, email privacy@simplyclick.app. Our FAQ explains the safety settings, and we recommend going through them together.
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If there are big changes, we'll let you know in the app.
